Safari Zones Guide
Ranthambore National Park is divided into core zones (1-5) and buffer zones (6-10). Each zone has distinct landscapes, wildlife density, and tiger sighting probability. Use this guide to choose the best zone for your safari.
Zone 1 - Nalghati

Zone 1 is the crown jewel of Ranthambore. Open grasslands and the iconic Padam Talao lake create perfect conditions for tiger sightings. This is where the famous T-17 Machali ruled for years.
Zone 2 - Lahpur
Lahpur Gate
Zone 2 borders Zone 1 and shares the same lake system. Dense dhaok forest meets open areas near Rajbagh lake. Excellent zone for tiger sightings especially during summer months.
Zone 3 - Kachida

Zone 3 is rugged and dramatic. Rocky hillsides, deep gorges, and dense vegetation. Known for leopard sightings and significant tiger movement, especially near water sources.
Zone 4 - Aantri

Zone 4 is beautiful and serene. Rich bird life, diverse flora, and the occasional tiger sighting make this an excellent choice for wildlife photography and peaceful nature experiences.
Zone 5 - Kundal
