What is a Canter Safari?
A canter is a large open-top bus that carries up to 20 passengers into the buffer zones of Ranthambore. It's the most economical way to experience the jungle and is particularly popular with families, school groups, and first-time visitors.
While canters are restricted to buffer zones (zones 6-10) and cannot enter the core tiger zones, you'll still encounter a rich variety of wildlife including deer, wild boar, birds, and occasionally leopards or tigers near the buffer boundaries.
