Winter Start
Pleasant weather, increasing wildlife movement near waterholes. Migratory birds start arriving. Excellent overall safari experience.
December
Peak Winter
Cold mornings but great for spotting as animals are more active during daytime. Good bird watching season. Festive holidays bring higher crowds.

Peak Winter
Very popular month. Tiger sightings are excellent as big cats sunbathe in open areas. Dense bird population. Fog in early mornings can be magical.

Best MonthLate Winter
Best month for tiger sightings. Vegetation thins out, making cats easier to spot. Perfect weather. This is the single best month to visit Ranthambore.

Equally outstanding as February. Dry conditions concentrate wildlife near waterholes. Tiger sightings are frequent and dramatic. Great for families.

Summer
Extreme heat pushes tigers to waterholes - increasing daylight sighting chances significantly. If you can handle the heat, sightings are spectacular.

Peak Summer
Hottest month but highest tiger probability. Waterholes become the only water source - tigers visit multiple times a day. Underrated month for serious wildlife lovers.
June
Pre Monsoon
Park closes mid-June for monsoon. First two weeks still open with low crowds and high tiger activity near shrinking waterholes.
July
ClosedMonsoon
Ranthambore National Park is closed for public safaris during July, August, and September. The jungle recovers and tigers breed during this period.
August
ClosedMonsoon
Park remains closed. This is the breeding season for many species. The forest regenerates and waterholes fill up for the upcoming season.
September
ClosedLate Monsoon
Park still closed until early October. Rains taper off. A great time to book safari permits online for the upcoming season before they fill up.
